The SAS Group Wednesday cancelled 45 flights, including 30 in Denmark, after a recent decision to completely stop using its fleet of Dash 8-Q400 turboprop planes.
The decision to stop using the plane model came Sunday by SAS management and board a day after a third incident involving the landing gear of a Dash 8-Q400 took place at Copenhagen airport.
None of the 40 passengers or four crew members was injured Saturday when the landing gear collapsed on a plane arriving from Bergen, Norway.
European aviation-safety regulators were Wednesday evening scheduled to hold a video-conference in Cologne, Germany with Scandinavian officials and Canadian company Bombardier to discuss three crash-landings involving the plane model that SAS has used since 2000.
